What is a Micro Vehicle™ Connecting Chassis?
A newly developed and important safety feature of Micro Vehicles™ is the Connecting Chassis, USPTO Utility Patent No. 11767085, granted 26 September 2023. The chassis connects the pair of boards and provides a rider the ability to lean into or “carve” through a turn (like a downhill snow skier or in-line roller skater does) while keeping each of the boards of the Powered Water Skis or Powered Boots parallel to each other, at a predetermined distance from each other, and in-line with each other (meaning one board will not shift ahead or lag behind the other).
Also included in this innovative Chassis is a device that provides an automatic and adjustable dampened spring back action, which serves to re-center the Chassis, thus assisting the rider in controllably ending the “carving” action and continue to move in a straight direction.
What are Micro Vehicle™ Retractable Handlebars?
Another newly developed and important safety feature of Micro Vehicles™ is the Dual Retractable Handlebar System, USPTO Utility Patent No. 11787513, granted 17 October 2023. With adjustable damping, the innovative dual handlebars allows the rider of Powered Boots or Powered Water Skis to transition from a kneeling, to squatting, to standing, or vice versa, in one smooth articulated motion while keeping a continued grip on the handles and throttles.
Each Handlebar of the pair is firmly connected to each boot (or board) safely behind the rider, with each Handlebar extending around the outside of the rider to a comfortable and ergonomic position to grasp with each hand, providing the rider with the ability to impart body English on the left and right sides independently, in order to effectively steer his or her Motorized Surf Boots on water or on land.
Additionally, the pair of Handlebars can be quickly locked in the retracted (or down) position, or quickly released for deployment in a range of up positions.
